Arrangement description

A wooded spot on the outskirts of Warsaw has become a place where nature blends seamlessly with everyday comfort. The family decided to leave the city to live closer to the forest and create a space where they could truly unwind. The interior of the house was already filled with wood, natural materials and a Japandi aesthetic – the terrace was to become a natural extension of this atmosphere. The biggest challenge turned out to be the conifers surrounding the property. Although they created a unique view and added to the forest atmosphere, the falling needles effectively made it difficult to relax on the terrace. The family dreamed of a space they could use spontaneously – without having to constantly tidy up and prepare the area for relaxation. The first step, therefore, was to create a functional canopy that would help organise the space and enhance the comfort of everyday use. The design was complemented by soft curtains in a colour that matched the house’s façade. These added an extra sense of cosiness, gently enveloping the relaxation area. The terrace was divided into two zones, emphasising its natural elevation. The relaxation area features a Japandi-inspired corner sofa and a low bench, inviting peaceful mornings with coffee and evening relaxation to the sounds of nature. The second zone is designed around a round table and garden chairs – a space perfect for shared meals and gatherings. The unique atmosphere of this project is also created by the lighting. Five Axion LED lamps have been placed near the terrace; after dark, they highlight the architecture and the surrounding greenery, improving safety when moving around the house. The lamp can be adjusted by changing the direction of the light. The space has been complemented by natural plants and flowers, which further emphasise the closeness to nature. Both areas also feature portable Amy LED lamps in sage and terracotta colours. Today, the terrace has become a place for daily rituals. It is here that the household begins the day surrounded by nature and ends it by the light that creates an atmosphere and helps live more beautifully.
